There Are Not Enough Hours in a Day…

Hey, everyone! Good grief, it’s been over 3 weeks since I last posted. I promise I haven’t forgotten about blogging, but my goodness, life has been keeping me BUSY. My schedule has kept me super busy with class, assignments, dance team and PAC practices, basketball games, and starting my practicum! I feel like there are just not enough hours in a day for me to accomplish everything I want or need to do, which brings me to tonight’s subject…

Father Vaccaro, the CCM’s chaplain, brought up something in his homily last weekend that has stuck with me since and I feel like I need to talk about it: we need to make time for the Lord outside of Sunday mass. This semester, I haven’t been able to get to daily mass very much during the week because I’ve been so busy with class, practice, and homework. I was able to go at least once or twice a week last semester, but I have practice on Mondays when the Catholic Student Center has their weekly Latin mass, and I haven’t had the motivation to go before Supper Social on Thursdays after I finish my classes for the afternoon. I don’t like making excuses for why I can’t go and quite frankly, I don’t have any. Making the decision go take time out of my schedule to attend daily mass is tough because I have to readjust my to-do list for the day and figure out when I should work on homework, eat dinner, etc.

Just because I don’t like to reorganize or add another item to my already busy schedule doesn’t mean I shouldn’t do it. Mass is important, and going will build my relationship with the Lord. With spring break approaching, I think I need to take some time to re-organize my schedule to make more time for me to attend mass during the second half of the spring semester.

Next week is my last week of classes before spring break, and I am so excited! Over break, I have some exciting things planned with my real life friend and fellow blogger, Ginny, of The Ginny Beth Blog that I can’t wait to start working on! Be on the lookout for some new stuff here in the near future, but in the meantime, make sure to stop by Ginny’s blog and check it out.

Until next time, thanks for reading!
